carborundum monoprint on paper, 18 x 19 in. ( 45.7 x 48.3 cm.)

In an artist talk at Mitchell Giddings Fine Arts in 2017, Mason noted on the printmaking process: “It’s sort of like if you bake a loaf of bread – you put it in the oven, and you just hope it’s going to rise and be good.” Mason also noted, “printing is a wonderful, magical experience. I can’t urge you all enough to find a workshop or a place to do it.”
