Kat Granados

Kathleen Granados is an artist and educator who lives and works in New York City. Her writing and fiber-driven visual art orbits themes of home, hauntings, and history. From cultural institutions to historic house museums, Granados has been exhibiting and creating installations at a wide range of spaces since 2009.

She holds an MFA from CUNY Hunter College, and a BFA from the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she has served as a part-time instructor. Kat has been with the EM|ATM Foundation since 2021, and her excitement never wanes to dive deep into the archives, make new discoveries, and conduct research.

Some of Kat’s favorite objects from the archives are Alice Trumbull Mason’s printmaking woodblocks, like these assembled pieces for the print In Autumn, 1955.
